[Machine] Allah and His Messenger prohibited it, then the man went to Ibn Abbas and mentioned to him what Ibn Umar said. Ibn Abbas said: He spoke the truth. The man said to Ibn Abbas: What kind of wine did he prohibit? Ibn Abbas said: Every liquid that is derived from dates.  

أحمد:٣٥١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حَاضِرٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْجَرِّ يُنْبَذُ فِيهِ؟ فَقَالَ

نَهَى اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ عَنْهُ فَانْطَلَقَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ مَا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ صَدَقَ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَيُّ جَرٍّ نَهَى عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ يُصْنَعُ مِنْ مَدَرٍ
