I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing wudoo after relieving himself, and wiping over his leather slippers (khuff), then praying.  

أحمد:٣٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ

عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ جَدِّهِ الشَّكُّ مِنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ بَعْدَ الْحَدَثِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَصَلَّى
