ahmad:2970al-Zubayrī And ʾAswd al-Maʿná > Sharīk > Simāk > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ bought some livestock that gained profit, and he distributed it among the widows of Abd al-Muttalib. Then he said, "I do not engage in a transaction that I don't have the price for."  

أحمد:٢٩٧٠حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ وَأَسْوَدُ الْمَعْنَى قَالا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

ابْتَاعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ عِيرٍ أَقْبَلَتْ فَرَبِحَ أَوَاقِيَّ فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ أَرَامِلِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا أَبْتَاعُ بَيْعًا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي ثَمَنُهُ

[Machine] A caravan arrived in the city, so the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ bought goods from it and made a profit from them. He distributed it among the widows of Banu Abdul Muttalib and said, "I will not buy anything that I do not have the money for."
