ahmad:27598ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Sufyān > Ibn Abū al-Ḥusayn > Shahr b. Ḥawshab > Asmāʾ b. Yazīd

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ offered us milk, but we declined, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not combine hunger with lies."  

أحمد:٢٧٥٩٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ كُنَّا فِيمَنْ جَهَّزَ عَائِشَةَ وَزَفَّهَا قَالَتْ

فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَبَنًا فَقُلْنَا لَا نُرِيدُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا تَجْمَعْنَ جُوعًا وَكَذِبًا
