ahmad:2607ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh > Ḥusayn b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbbās > ʿIkrimahaʿan Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the practice of placing vows by slaughtering animals, divination through arrows, and blowing into empty objects to seek blessings. He said, "Do not drink except from a container made of Zee Ikha (leather made from the skin of a wild animal)." They made containers from the skin of camels and attached sheepskin caps to them. When the Prophet ﷺ learned this, he said, "Do not drink except from what is higher than it (referring to containers made from camel skin)."  

أحمد:٢٦٠٧حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّقِيرِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَقَالَ لَا تَشْرَبُوا إِلا فِي ذِي إِكَاءٍ فَصَنَعُوا جُلُودَ الْإِبِلِ ثُمَّ جَعَلُوا لَهَا أَعْنَاقًا مِنْ جُلُودِ الْغَنَمِ فَبَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَا تَشْرَبُوا إِلا فِيمَا أَعْلاهُ مِنْهُ
