[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Verily, fasting on the day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year."  

أحمد:٢٤٩٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ دَخَلَ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَهِيَ صَائِمَةٌ وَالْمَاءُ يُرَشُّ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَفْطِرِي فَقَالَتْ أُفْطِرُ وَقَدْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ صَوْمَ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ يُكَفِّرُ الْعَامَ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ
