ahmad:24681Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > al-Ḥakam > Abū Bakr b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman from his father

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of ritual impurity (junub), then he would perform ablution and go to the mosque with his head wet. He would then observe fasting on that day. I informed Marwan bin al-Hakam of what Aisha said, and he told me to inform Abu Hurairah of what Aisha said. So I said, "He is my close friend and I prefer that you excuse me from doing so." He said, "I have resolved this matter for you when you went to him, so both of us went to Abu Hurairah and I informed him of what she said." Aisha then said, "So he knows better about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of ritual impurity (junub), then he would perform the ritual ablution, and then he would go to the mosque with his head dripping from water, and then he would fast that day. I informed Marwan about what she (Aisha) said, and he told me to inform Abu Huraira about Aisha's words. So I said, "Indeed, he is my close friend, and I prefer that you excuse me." He said, "I have made up my mind about you." So I set out with him to Abu Huraira and informed him of what she said. Aisha then said, "In that case, I know better about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
