ahmad:2387Saʿd b. Ibrāhīm from my father > Muḥammad b. Isḥāq > Dāwud b. al-Ḥuṣayn > ʿIkrimah a freed slave of Ibn ʿAbbās > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "How did you divorce her?" He said, "I divorced her three times." He said, "And did you utter the divorce in one sitting?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Verily, that counts as one. So if you wish, take her back." He said, "So he took her back." Ibn Abbas used to say that divorce is only valid during a state of purity.
