[Machine] I entered with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to visit a deceased person from the Ansar, and his family was crying. So I said, "Are you crying, while this is the Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let them cry as long as they are with them, and when it is obligatory, they should not cry." Jabir said, "So I told this to Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, and he asked me, 'What is obligatory?' I said, 'When he is buried.'"
