[Machine] Sa'd reported: With what was the wound of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, treated? Sa'd said, "Ali would come with water in his shield while Fatimah washed the blood from his face. Then, he took a mat and burned it, so he shielded his wound with it."  

أحمد:٢٢٧٩٩حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ

عَنْ سَهْلٍ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَجِيءُ بِالْمَاءِ فِي تُرْسِهِ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَأَخَذَ حَصِيرًا فَأَحْرَقَهُ فَحَشَا بِهِ جُرْحَهُ

Sahl bin Saʿd As-Saʿidi, was asked by the people, "With what was the wound of the Prophet ﷺ treated? Sahl replied, "None remains among the people living who knows that better than I. ʿAli [??] used to bring water in his shield and Fatima used to wash the blood off his face. Then straw mat was burnt and the wound was filled with it."  

البخاري:٢٤٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ

سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ وَسَأَلَهُ النَّاسُ وَمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ أَحَدٌ بِأَىِّ شَىْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا بَقِيَ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَجِيءُ بِتُرْسِهِ فِيهِ مَاءٌ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ الدَّمَ فَأُخِذَ حَصِيرٌ فَأُحْرِقَ فَحُشِيَ بِهِ جُرْحُهُ

The people asked Sahl bin Saʿd As-Sa' idi "With what thing (medicine) was the wound of Allah's Apostle treated?" He replied, "There is none left (living) amongst the people who knows it better than. ʿAli used to bring water in his shield and Fatima (i.e. the Prophet's daughter) used to wash the blood off his face. Then a mat (of palm leaves) was burnt and its ash was inserted in the wound of Allah's Apostle."

tirmidhi:2085Ibn Abū ʿUmar > Sufyān > Abū Ḥāzim > Suʾil Sahl b. Saʿd

"While I was listening, Sahl bin Sa'd was asked: 'What were the wounds of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ treated with?' He said: 'None is alive who is more knowledgeable of it than I. 'Ali would come with water in his shield, and Fatimah would use it to wash his blood off,and a mat was burnt for him and his wounds were filled with it(its ashes)."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٢٠٨٥حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قال حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَأَنَا

أَسْمَعُ بِأَىِّ شَيْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا بَقِيَ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَأْتِي بِالْمَاءِ فِي تُرْسِهِ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ عَنْهُ الدَّمَ وَأُحْرِقَ لَهُ حَصِيرٌ فَحُشِيَ بِهِ جُرْحُهُ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
