[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Inform me of an action that will admit me to Paradise." He said, "Upon you is fasting, as it has no equal." Then I came to him again and he said to me, "Upon you is fasting."
أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ مُرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَا عِدْلَ لَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ الثَّانِيَةَ فَقَالَ لِي عَلَيْكَ بِالصِّيَامِ
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me of an action (I should do).' He said: 'Take to fasting, for there is nothing equal to it."'
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ عِدْلَ لَهُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ عِدْلَ لَهُ
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of an action that will enter me into Paradise." He said, "Fast, for there is nothing equal to it."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَا عِدْلَ لَهُ أَوْ قَالَ لَا مِثْلَ لَهُ
"عَنْ أَبِى أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: أَتَيتُ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَقُلتُ: يَا رَسُول الله مُرْنِى بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنى الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالَ: عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا عَدْلَ لَهُ، ثُمَّ أتَيتْه ثَانِيةً، فَقَال: عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا عدْلَ لَهُ".
