[Machine] We used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they would chat about poetry and discuss things from the pre-Islamic era. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would remain silent, perhaps smiling or saying, "We used to chat about poetry and recall things from the pre-Islamic era," and he would perhaps smile ﷺ .  

أحمد:٢١٠١٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

كُنَّا نَجْلِسُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَانُوا يَتَنَاشَدُونَ الْأَشْعَارَ وَيَتَذَاكَرُونَ أَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَرَسُولُاللهِ ﷺ سَاكِتٌ فَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ أَوْ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَنَاشَدُ الْأَشْعَارَ وَنَذْكُرُ أَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ ﷺ
