Rebuke for trailing the lower garment and letting the hair grow long

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not for two things in you, it would have been you." He said, "One would be enough for me." He said, "You let your lower garment hang low, and you let your hair grow long." He said, "Most certainly, by Allah, I will not do it."

أحمد:١٨٨٩٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ شِمْرٍ عَنْ خُرَيْمٍ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «لَوْلَا أَنْ فِيكَ اثْنَتَيْنِ، كُنْتَ أَنْتَ». قَالَ: إِنْ وَاحِدَةً تَكْفِينِي. قَالَ: «تُسْبِلُ إِزَارَكَ، وَتُوَفِّرُ شَعْرَكَ». قَالَ: لَا جَرَمَ، وَاللهِ لَا أَفْعَلُ.
