[Machine] Indeed, if Mecca is considered sacred, then Medina is also sacred, as declared by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and it is written with us in our ancient texts. If you wish, we can recite it to you. So Marwan called him and said, "Yes, we have received this information."  

أحمد:١٧٢٧٢حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ خَطَبَ مَرْوَانُ النَّاسَ فَذَكَرَ مَكَّةَ وَحُرْمَتَهَا فَنَادَاهُ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ فَقَالَ

إِنَّ مَكَّةَ إِنْ تَكُنْ حَرَمًا فَإِنَّ الْمَدِينَةَ حَرَمٌ حَرَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ عِنْدَنَا فِي أَدِيمٍ خَوْلَانِيٍّ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ نُقْرِئَكَهُ فَعَلْنَا فَنَادَاهُ مَرْوَانُ أَجَلْ قَدْ بَلَغَنَا ذَلِكَ
