ahmad:16531 – Jaʿfar b. ʿAwn > Abū ʿUmays > Iyās b. Salamah b. al-Akwaʿ from his father

[Machine] An envoy came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the pagans. When he tasted food, he had an upset stomach and vomited. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered his companions to kill him. So the people rushed towards him. The man's father was a skilled rider, and he outran them. They tried to catch up to him but he reached him first. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of the reins of his she-camel or its noseband, then killed him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed his belongings.  

أحمد:١٦٥٣١ – حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ عَيْنٌ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَلَمَّا طَعِمَ انْسَلَّ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ اقْتُلُوا قَالَ فَابْتَدَرَ الْقَوْمُ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبِي يَسْبِقُ الْفَرَسَ شَدًّا قَالَ فَسَبَقَهُمْ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِزِمَامِ نَاقَتِهِ أَوْ بِخِطَامِهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ قَتَلَهُ قَالَ فَنَفَّلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَلَبَهُ

[Machine] An eye from the polytheists came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was descending. When he tasted the lust, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill the man, for he initiated it." He said, "And my father used to surpass the horse vigorously. So, he surpassed them and reached him, and he took hold of the reins of his mount and killed him. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed his belongings."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٨٧٩٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ عَيْنٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ نَازِلٌ فَلَمَّا طَعِمَ انْسَلَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عَلَيَّ الرَّجُلُ اقْتُلُوهُ فَابْتَدَرَهُ الْقَوْمُ» قَالَ «وَكَانَ أَبِي يَسْبِقُ الْفَرَسَ شَدًّا فَسَبَقَهُمْ إِلَيْهِ فَأَخَذَهُ بِخِطَامِ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَنَفَّلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَلَبَهُ»
