[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the date palm fruit, so he said, "Doesn't the fruit lose its moisture when it dries?" They replied, "Indeed, it does." So, he disliked it.

أحمد:١٥١٥ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَنْقُصُ الرُّطَبُ إِذَا يَبِسَ قَالُوا بَلَى فَكَرِهَهُ

[Machine] And he (the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ) said, "I heard the Prophet being asked about dried dates (rutab) and he said, 'It decreases if it dries.' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then no.'"
