I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say ʿNo father is to be killed in retaliatory punishment for killing his sonʿ  

أحمد:١٤٨ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يُقَادُ لِوَلَدٍمِنْ وَالِدِهِ
