[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was distributing the spoils of war from Hunayn, a man came to him and said, "Be just." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I will surely be just. If I am not just, then I am truly miserable."  

أحمد:١٤٥٦١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ العَقَدِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْسِمُ مَغَانِمَ حُنَيْنٍ إِذْ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ اعْدِلْ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ شَقِيتُ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ

While Messenger of Allah ﷺ was distributing the booty at Al-Ja'rana, somebody said to him "Be just (in your distribution)." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Verily I would be miserable if I did not act justly."  

البخاري:٣١٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْسِمُ غَنِيمَةً بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ اعْدِلْ فَقَالَ لَهُ شَقِيتَ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ إِبَاحَةِ جَوَابِ الْمَرْءِ بِالْكِنَايَةِ عَمَّا يَسْأَلُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي تِلْكَ الْحَالَةِ مَدْحُهُ

ibnhibban:101 – Abū Khalīfah > Muslim b. Ibrāhīm > Qurrah b. Khālid > ʿAmr b. Dīnār > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

بَيْنَمَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْسِمُ غَنِيمَةً بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ اعْدِلْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَا وَيْلِي لَقَدْ شَقِيتُ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ»
