ahmad:12797Ismāʿīl / Ibn Ibrāhīm Ibn ʿUlayyah > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz / Ibn Ṣuhayb > Anas

O Allah, (bear witness) (and addressing the Ansar), said: You are dearest to me amongst people, (and said: O Allah (bear witness) (and addressing the Ansar), said: You are dearest to me amongst people. And he meant Ansar. (Using translation from Muslim 2508)   

أحمد:١٢٧٩٧حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى صِبْيَانًا ونِّسَاءً مُقْبِلِينَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مِنْ عُرْسٍ فَقَامَ نَّبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ مُمْثِلًا فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ أَنْتُمْ مِنْ أَحَبِّالنَّاسِ إِلَيَّ اللهُمَّ أَنْتُمْ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ اللهُمَّ أَنْتُمْ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ يَعْنِي الْأَنْصَارَ

The Prophet ﷺ saw the women and children (of the Ansar) coming forward. (The sub-narrator said, "I think that Anas said, 'They were returning from a wedding party.") The Prophet ﷺ stood up and said thrice, "By Allah! You are from the most beloved people to me."
