ahmad:12524ʿAbd al-Ṣamad > ʿAmmār / Abū Hāshim Ṣāḥib al-Zaʿfarānī > Anas b. Mālik > Bilāl Baṭṭaʾ > Ṣalāh al-Ṣubḥ

[Machine] Ammaar, meaning Abu Hashim Az-Za'farani, informed us about Anas bin Malik that Bilal delayed the Fajr prayer. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What held you back?" Bilal replied, "I passed by Fatimah while she was grinding and the baby was crying. So, I said to her, 'If you wish, I can take care of the grinding and you can attend to the baby, or if you wish, I can take care of the baby and you can attend to the grinding.' She said, 'I am more merciful towards my son than you, so that is what held me back.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'May Allah have mercy on her.'"
