ahmad-zuhd:849ʿAbdullāh from my father > Wakīʿ > Mālik b. Mighwal > Abū Ṣāliḥ > al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Muzāḥim

[Machine] Abdullah said, "I wish I were a bird with feathers on my shoulder." Abdullah narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Waki narrated to us, Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to us, from Al-Qasim ibn Abdul Rahman who said, "A man said to Abdullah, 'I wish I were among the people of the right.' Abdullah said, 'I wish that when I die, I will not be resurrected.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:٨٤٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ قَالَ

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ طَيْرًا فِي مِنْكَبِي رِيشٌ

حَدَّثَنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنا أبِي، حَدَّثَنا وكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنا مالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنِ القاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قالَ: قالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: لَيْتَنِي مِن أصْحابِ اليَمِينِ، قالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: لَيْتَنِي إذا مِتُّ لَمْ أُبْعَثْ "
