[Machine] I do not ask for what is enough for me, and I do not bother myself with what does not concern me.  

الزهد لأحمد:٥٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قِيلَ لِلُقْمَانَ مَا حِكْمَتُكَ؟ قَالَ

لَا أَسْأَلُ عَمَّا كُفِيتُ وَلَا أَتَكَلَّفُ مَا لَا يَعْنِينِي
