[Machine] No, rather it is from knowledge; for if they need it, they will find knowledge with him, and if they do not need it, it enriches himself.

الزهد لأحمد:٥٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ كِتَابِ ابْنِ قِلَابَةَ عَنْ لُقْمَانَ أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَعْلَمُ؟ قَالَ «مَنِ ازْدَادَ مِنْ عِلْمِ النَّاسِ إِلَى عِلْمِهِ» قَالَ فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ أَغْنَى؟ قَالَ «الَّذِي يَرْضَى بِمَا أُوتِيَ» قَالَ فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ «الْمُؤْمِنُ الْغَنِيُّ» قَالَ الْقَوْمُ مِنَ الْمَالِ؟ قَالَ

«لَا بَلْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ؛ فَإِنِ احْتَاجُوا إِلَيْهِ وَجَدُوا عِنْدَهُ عِلْمًا وَإِنْ لَمْ يُحْتَجْ لَهُ أَغْنَى نَفْسَهُ»
