[Machine] Build me a house on the banks of the river. They said, "It won't stand." They said, "Why don't you take a wife for yourself?" He said, "What would I do with a wife who will die?"

الزهد لأحمد:٤٧٣ – حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ يَعْنِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِنِّي أَكْبَبْتُ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى وَجْهِهَا وَقَعَدْتُ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا وَلَيْسَ لِي وَلَدٌ يَمُوتُ وَلَا بَيْتٌ فَيَخْرَبُ فَقَالُوا لَهُ أَفَلَا تَتَّخِذُ لَكَ بَيْتًا؟ قَالَ

ابْنُوا لِي عَلَى طَرِيقِ السَّيْلِ بَيْتًا قَالُوا لَا يَثْبُتُ قَالُوا أَفَلَا تَتَّخِذُ لَكَ زَوْجَةً؟ قَالَ مَا أَصْنَعُ بِزَوْجَةٍ تَمُوتُ؟
