ahmad-zuhd:46 – ʿAbdullāh from my father > Wakīʿ > Isrāʾīl > Abū Isḥāq > Masrūq

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Spend, Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Owner of the Throne." Abu Abdur-Rahman said again, "And do not fear the Owner of the Throne."

الزهد لأحمد:٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنْفِقْ بِلَالُ وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى «وَلَا تَخَفْ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ»
