الزهد لأحمد:٤٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي أبِي أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ يَعْنِي أَبَا يَزِيدَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمٌ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ أُرَاهُ فُضَيْلَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ إِنَّ دَاوُدَ كَانَ يَدْعُو؛ يَقُولُ يَا مَارَاهُ؛ أَيْ يَا رَبَّاهُ أَسْأَلُكَ جَلِيسًا إِذَا ذَكَرْتُكَ أَعَانَنِي وَإِذَا نَسِيتُكَ ذَكَّرَنِي يَا مَارَاهُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَلِيسٍ إِذَا ذَكَرْتُكَ لَمْ يُعِنِّي وَإِذَا نَسِيتُكَ لَمْ يُذَكِّرْنِي يَا مَارَاهُ إِذَا مَرَرْتُ بِقَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُونَكَ فَأَرَدْتُ

أَنْ أُجَاوِزَهُمْ فَاكْسِرْ رِجْلِي الَّتِي تَلِيهِمْ؛ حَتَّى أَجْلِسَ فَأَذْكُرَكَ مَعَهُمْ
