ahmad-zuhd:334ʿAbdullāh > Bī > Yaḥyá b. Abū Bukayr > ʿAbbād > al-Walīd > Khālid al-Ḥadhhāʾ

[Machine] So he would say to them, "Say this, say this. And when you feel chills and tears, then invoke at that moment."  

الزهد لأحمد:٣٣٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أبِي حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ خَالِدًا الْحَذَّاءَ قَالَ «كَانَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِذَا سَرَّحَ رُسُلَهُ؛ يُحْيُونَ الْمَوْتَى» قَالَ

فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُمْ قُولُوا كَذَا قُولُوا كَذَا فَإِذَا وَجَدْتُمْ قُشَعْرِيرَةً وَدَمْعَةً فَادْعُوا عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ
