[Machine] "When Adam, ﷺ , saw his descendants being presented to him and saw the favor of some of them over others, he said, 'O Lord, wouldn't You make them equal?' He said, 'O Adam, I loved to be thanked.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٥٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ قَالَ

لَمَّا عُرِضَ عَلَى آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ فَرَأَى فَضْلَ بَعْضِهِمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ قَالَ «يَا رَبِّ فَهَلَّا سَوَّيْتَ بَيْنَهُمْ؟» قَالَ «يَا آدَمُ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أُشْكَرَ»
