ahmad-zuhd:2213ʿAbdullāh from my father > / al-Khaffāf > ʿUthmān Abū Salamah > Manṣūr b. Zādhān > Nubbiʾt

[Machine] Some of those who are cast into the Fire will harm the people of the Fire with their scent, so it will be said to them, "Woe to you! What were you doing? Isn't it enough for us what we are suffering from evil until we were tested with you and the scent of your daughter?" They will say, "I was knowledgeable, but I did not benefit from my knowledge."  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٢١٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا يَعْنِي الْخَفَّافَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ قَالَ نُبِّئْتُ

أنَّ بَعْضَ مَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ يَتَأَذَّى أَهْلُ النَّارِ بِرِيحِهِ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ وَيْلَكَ مَا كُنْتَ تَعْمَلُ أَمَا يَكْفِينَا مَا نَحْنُ فِيهِ مِنَ الشَّرِّ حَتَّى ابْتُلِينَا بِكَ وَبِنَتَنِ رِيحِكَ؟ فَيَقُولُ كُنْتُ عَالِمًا فَلَمْ أَنْتَفِعْ بِعِلْمِي
