[Machine] Then, he tied it to [270] the era, but he did not wake up. Then, he tied it to the west, but he did not wake up. Then, he indeed woke up, and Abdullah returned to his family.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٩٤٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَعَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى حَدَّادٍ فَقَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَنْظُرُ حَدِيدَةً فِي النَّارِ فَنَظَرَ الرَّبِيعُ إِلَيْهَا فَتَمَايَلَ لِيَسْقُطَ فَمَضَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا عَلَى أَتُونٍ عَلَى شَاطِئِ الْفُرَاتِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَالنَّارُ تَلْهَبُ فِي جَوْفِهِ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {إِذَا رَأَتْهُمْ مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا وَإِذَا أُلْقُوا مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا} [الفرقان 13] قَالَ فَصَعِقَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ فَاحْتَمَلْنَاهُ فَجِئْنَا بِهِ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ ثُمَّ رَابَطَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِلَى الظُّهْرِ فَلَمْ يُفِقْ قَالَ

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ رَابَطَهُ إِلَى [270] الْعَصْرِ فَلَمْ يُفِقْ ثُمَّ رَابَطَهُ إِلَى الْمَغْرِبِ فَلَمْ يُفِقْ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ أَفَاقَ فَرَجَعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ
