[Machine] I wanted and then I mentioned 'Ad and Thamud and the people of the Prophet and many generations in between. They had doctors and healers, but no one was left to heal or be healed.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٩٣٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ أَصَابَ الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ خُثَيْمٍ فَالِجٌ فَقِيلَ لَهُ لَوْ تَدَاوَيْتَ فَقَالَ

«قَدْ أَرَدْتُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ عَادًا وثَمْوَدًا وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيرًا قَدْ كَانَ لَهُمْ أَطِبَّاءُ ومُدَاوُونَ فَلَمْ يَبْقَ مُدَاوٍ وَلَا مُتَدَاوٍ»
