ahmad-zuhd:1893ʿAbdullāh from my father > Sayyār > Jaʿfar > a man from Ṣanʿāʾ

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in my dream, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, where are the substitutes for your Ummah?" He motioned with his hand towards Sham (Syria), so I said, "What about Iraq, are there any of them there?" He said, "Yes, Muhammad ibn Wasi' and Hassaan ibn Abi Sinan, and Malik ibn Dinar, who walks among the people with the same asceticism as Abu Dhar in his time." Ja'far said, "Even if Malik was among the children of Israel, it would be appropriate for him to be spoken of with his narration."
