ahmad-zuhd:1864ʿAbdullāh from my father > Sayyār > Jaʿfar > Mālik

[Machine] I heard Malik say, "As much as you grieve for the world, the concerns of the hereafter come out of your heart in the same way. And as much as you grieve for the hereafter, the concerns of the world come out of your heart in the same way."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٨٦٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا يَقُولُ «بِقَدْرِ مَا تَحْزَنُ لِلدُّنْيَا كَذَلِكَ يَخْرُجُ هَمُّ الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا تَحْزَنُ لِلْآخِرَةِ كَذَلِكَ يَخْرُجُ هَمُّ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ قَلْبِكَ»
