الزهد لأحمد:١٧٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فَقَالَ لَهُ حَدِّثْ يَا أَبَا قِلَابَةَ قَالَ

«وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي أَكْرَهُ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ وَكَثِيرًا مِنَ السُّكُوتِ»
