[Machine] 'Umar ibn 'Abdul 'Aziz said, "Indeed, I often refrain from speaking excessively out of fear of arrogance."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٧٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ رَجَاءٍ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ «إِنِّي لَأَدَعُ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْكَلَامِ مَخَافَةَ الْمُبَاهَاةِ»
