ahmad-zuhd:1548ʿAbdullāh from my father > Wahbb. Jarīr from my father > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] I heard Al-Hassan saying, "Some people dislike consistency. By Allah, a believer should not work for a month or two, or a year or two. No, by Allah, Allah did not set a time limit for the work of a believer other than death."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٥٤٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي

سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ «أَبَى قَوْمٌ الْمُدَاوَمَةَ وَاللَّهِ مَا الْمُؤْمِنُ الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ شَهْرًا أَوْ شَهْرَيْنِ أَوْ عَامًا أَوْ عَامَيْنِ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِعَمَلِ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَجَلًا دُونَ الْمَوْتِ»
