ahmad-zuhd:1545ʿAbdullāh from my father > / Ibn Mahdī > Abū al-Ashhab > al-Ḥasan > / al--Adhī Jaʿal al-Layl Wa-al-Nnahār Khilfah Liman Arād > Yadhhakkar or Arād Shukūr al-Frqān 62

[Machine] "And it is He who has made the night and the day as a means of alternation for whoever desires to be reminded or desires to be grateful." [Al-Furqan 62] He said, "Whoever is weakened by the night, then he will have strength during the day, and whoever is weakened during the day, then he will have strength during the night." he said, "The servant will continue to be in goodness as long as he says, 'He said, 'For Allah'' and when he does a deed, 'He did it for Allah.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٥٤٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَحَدَّثَنِي يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْهَبِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ

{وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا} [الفرقان 62] قَالَ مَنْ عَجَزَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّ لَهُ فِي النَّهَارِ مُسْتَعْتَبٌ وَمَنْ عَجَزَ فِي النَّهَارِ كَانَ لَهُ فِي اللَّيْلِ مُسْتَعْتَبٌ قَالَ وَلَا يَزَالُ الْعَبْدُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا إِذَا قَالَ قَالَ لِلَّهِ وَإِذَا عَمِلَ عَمِلَ لِلَّهِ ﷻ
