ahmad-zuhd:1477ʿAbdullāh from my father > Sayyār > Ḥammād b. Zayd > Yūnus > al-Ḥasan > Samiʿtuh

[Machine] I heard him saying, "If a man is sitting in a gathering and his intuition guides him, he should act upon it. However, if he fears that someone might get ahead of him, he should stand up."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٤٧٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «إِنْ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ لَيَجْلِسُ الْمَجْلِسَ فَتَجِيئُهُ عَبْرَتُهُ فَيَرُدَّهَا فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَنْ تَسْبِقَهُ قَامَ»
