[Machine] I heard Al-Hasan say, "If you command people to do good, then be one of those who follow it, otherwise you will be destroyed. And if you are one who forbids evil, then be one of those who reject it, otherwise you will be destroyed."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٤٥٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَعْبٍ الْأَزْدِيَّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ «إِذَا كُنْتَ آمِرًا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَكُنْ مَنْ أَخَذَ النَّاسُ بِهِ وَإِلَّا هَلَكْتَ وَإِذَا كُنْتَ مِمَّنْ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ فَكُنْ مَنْ أَنْكَرَ النَّاسُ لَهُ وَإِلَّا هَلَكْتَ»
