[Machine] Mutarrif bin Al-Shekhair said, "Surely, death has corrupted the people's enjoyment, so seek out a pleasure without death."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٣٣٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ يُوسُفُ الصَّفَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ الشِّخِّيرِ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَوْتَ قَدْ أَفْسَدَ عَلَى النَّاسِ نَعِيمَهُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوا نَعِيمًا لَا مَوْتَ فِيهِ»
