كَانَ مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أَحَبَّ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ الشَّكُورُ الصَّابِرُ الَّذِي إِذَا ابْتُلِيَ صَبَرَ وَإِذَا أُعْطِيَ شَكَرَ»
