ahmad-zuhd:1334ʿAbdullāh from my father > Rawḥ > Saʿīd > Qatādah

[Machine] "Mutarrif ibn Abdullah ibn Al-Sheheer used to say, 'Verily, the most beloved servants of Allah to Allah are the grateful and patient ones, who, when they are afflicted, remain patient, and when they are granted blessings, are grateful.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٣٣٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أَحَبَّ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ الشَّكُورُ الصَّابِرُ الَّذِي إِذَا ابْتُلِيَ صَبَرَ وَإِذَا أُعْطِيَ شَكَرَ»
