adab:1144 –

Ash-Sha'bi said, "A man came to 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr when there were some people sitting with him. He stepped over them in order to reach him. They stopped him and 'Abdullah said, 'Leave the man.' He approached until he sat with him and then said, 'Tell me something which you heard from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.' 'Abdullah said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. An emigrant (muhajir) is someone who abandons what Allah has forbidden."'"

الأدب المفرد:١١٤٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعِنْدَهُ الْقَوْمُ جُلُوسٌ يَتَخَطَّى إِلَيْهِ فَمَنَعُوهُ فَقَالَ اتْرُكُوا الرَّجُلَ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى جَلَسَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ

أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مِنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue or his hands. And a Muhajir (an emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has forbidden."

البخاري:٦٤٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ عَنْ عَامِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ»*.

nasai:4996 – ʿAmr b. ʿAlī > Yaḥyá > Ismāʿīl > ʿĀmir > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr

"I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the Muhajir is the one who forsakes (Hajara) that which Allah has forbidden to him."

النسائي:٤٩٩٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

abudawud:2481 – Musaddad > Yaḥyá > Ismāʿīl b. Abū Khālid > ʿĀmir > Atá a man ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr And ʿIndah al-Qawm Ḥattá Jalas ʿIndah

‘Amir said “A man came to ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Amr while the people were with him. He sat with him and said “Tell me anything that you heard from the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ”. He said “I hears the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ say “A Muslim is he from whose tongue and hand the Muslims remain safe and an emigrant is he who abandons what Allaah has prohibited.””

أبو داود:٢٤٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو وَعِنْدَهُ الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى جَلَسَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ
