The prophet ﷺ persuaded them to say prayer in congregation and prohibited them to leave before he goes away from the prayer.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَضَّهُمْ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفُوا قَبْلَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ
[AI] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ encouraged them to pray and forbade them from preceding him in the bowing and prostration when he was leading them in prayer. He also instructed them to not leave before he finishes his prayer and he said, "I see you from behind me and in front of me."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَثَّهُمْ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ إِذَا كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ بِالرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ وَأَنْ يَنْصَرِفُوا قَبْلَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَقَالَ «إِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ خَلْفِي وَأَمَامِي»
