Sahl bin Mu’adh reported on the authority of his father “We fought along with the Prophet of Allaah ﷺ. The rest of the tradition is to the same effect.”  

أبو داود:٢٦٣٠حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أَسِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

غَزَوْنَا مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمَعْنَاهُ
