that a girl went out in Al-Madinah wearing some silver ornaments. A Jew grabbed her and fractured her head with a stone, and he took the jewelry she had on. He said: "She was found with some spark of life in her, and was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'Did such and such person strike you?' She nodded 'no' with her head. He said: 'Such and such?' until he named the Jew and she nodded 'yes' with her head." He said: "He was brought and recognized so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that his head be crushed between two stones."  

الترمذي:١٣٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

خَرَجَتْ جَارِيَةٌ عَلَيْهَا أَوْضَاحٌ فَأَخَذَهَا يَهُودِيٌّ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهَا بِحَجَرٍ وَأَخَذَ مَا عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الْحُلِيِّ قَالَ فَأُدْرِكَتْ وَبِهَا رَمَقٌ فَأُتِيَ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَكِ أَفُلاَنٌ قَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لاَ قَالَ فَفُلاَنٌ حَتَّى سُمِّيَ الْيَهُودِيُّ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَىْ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأُخِذَ فَاعْتَرَفَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَرُضِخَ رَأْسُهُ بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لاَ قَوَدَ إِلاَّ بِالسَّيْفِ

"A girl went out wearing some jewelry and a Jew caught her, crushed her head between two rocks and took the jewelry that she was wearing. She was found as she was breathing her last, and she was brought to the Messenger of Allah who said: 'Who killed you? Was it so and so?' She gestured no with her head, and he continued asking until he named the Jew, and she gestured yes with her head. He was caught and he confessed (to his crime), then the Messenger of Allah ordered that his head be crushed between two rocks."  

النسائي:٤٧٤٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

ahmad:13840 – ʿAffān > Hammām > Qatādah > Anas

A girl was found with her head crushed between two stones. She was asked: Who has done this to you ? Is it so and so ? Is it so and so, until a Jew was named, and she gave a sign with her head. The Jew was caught ad he admitted. So the Prophet ﷺ gave command that his head should be crushed with stones. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4527)   

أحمد:١٣٨٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ أَنَّ أَنَسًا

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ جَارِيَةً وُجِدَ رَأْسُهَا بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ فَقِيلَ لَهَا مَنْ فَعَلَ بِكِ هَذَا؟ أَفُلَانٌ؟ أَفُلَانٌ؟ حَتَّى سَمَّوْا الْيَهُودِيَّ فَأَوْمَأَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا قَالَ فَأُخِذَ الْيَهُودِيُّ فَجِيءَ بِهِ فَاعْتَرَفَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَرُضَّ رَأْسُهُ بِالْحِجَارَةِ

أَنَّ جَارِيَةً خَرَجَتْ عَلَيْهَا أَوْضَاحٌ فَأَخَذَهَا يَهُودِيٌّ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهَا وَأَخَذَ مَا عَلَيْهَا فَأُتِيَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَبِهَا رَمَقٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَكِ؟ فُلَانٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لَا فَقَالَ فُلَانٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لَا قَالَ فَفُلَانٌ الْيَهُودِيُّ؟ فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهُ بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٩١٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

[Machine] A girl went out wearing a necklace, and a Jew grabbed her and hit her head with a stone, and took what was on her. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought to her, and she still had a breath. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her: "Who killed you?" She pointed with her head and said: "So and so." They asked her: "Was it the Jew?" She nodded with her head and said: "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took him and hit his head between two stones.  

البيهقي:١٥٩٨٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ جَارِيَةً خَرَجَتْ عَلَيْهَا أَوْضَاحٌ فَأَخَذَهَا يَهُودِيٌّ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهَا بِحَجَرٍ وَأَخَذَ مَا عَلَيْهَا فَأُتِيَ بِهَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَبِهَا رَمَقٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَكِ فُلَانٌ؟ قَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا لَا فَقَالُوا الْيَهُودِيُّ؟ قَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَضَخَ رَأْسَهُ بَيْنَ حَجَرَيْنِ
