Dua for fulfilling a need

tirmidhi:479ʿAlī b. ʿĪsá b. Yazīd al-Baghdādī > ʿAbdullāh b. Bakr al-Sahmī > ʿAbdullāh b. Munīr > ʿAbdullāh b. Bakr > Fāʾid b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān > ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Awfá

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever has a need from Allah or from one of the children of Adam, let him perform wudu and perform the wudu well, then let him pray two rakahs, then let him praise Allah and send prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ, then let him say:

lā ilāha illā allāh al-ḥalīm al-karīm, subḥān allāhi rabbi al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīm, al-ḥamdu li-llāhi rabbi al-ʿālamīn. asʾaluka mūjibāti raḥmatik, wa-ʿazāʾima maghfiratik, wa-al-ghanīmata min kulli birr, wa-al-salāmata min kulli ithm. lā tadaʿ lī dhanban illā ghafartah, wa-lā hamman illā farrajtah, wa-lā ḥājatan hiya laka riḍan illā qaḍaytahā, yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn

(There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask You for the means that bring Your mercy, the firm resolve that brings Your forgiveness, the gain of every act of righteousness, and safety from every sin. Do not leave any sin of mine except that You forgive it, nor any worry except that You relieve it, nor any need that is pleasing to You except that You fulfill it, O Most Merciful of the merciful.)

Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib, and there is some criticism regarding its chain of transmission. Faid ibn Abdul Rahman is considered weak in hadith, and Faid is Abu al-Warqa.
