Ḥadīth | Tirmidhī §20.4 What Has Been Related About Atonement For A Vow When It Was Not Specified

tirmidhi:1528 – Aḥmad b. Manīʿ > Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh > Muḥammad a freed slave of al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah > Kaʿb b. ʿAlqamah > Abū al-Khayr > ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The atonement of a vow when it is not specified is the atonement of an oath."

الترمذي:١٥٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَفَّارَةُ النَّذْرِ إِذَا لَمْ يُسَمَّ كَفَّارَةُ يَمِينٍ
