[Machine] "On the authority of his grandfather, Uthman ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf, who said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to call people to have faith in Allah and to affirm it by word, without any action, before he migrated from Mecca. The Qibla (direction of prayer) was towards Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). When he migrated to us, the obligatory duties were revealed, and Medina was substituted for Mecca, and the statement about it was abrogated, and the House of the Haram (Kaaba) was substituted for Bayt al-Maqdis. So, faith became both a statement and action.'"
