الطبراني:٧٣٢٣حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ نِزَارٍ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَدْفِنُ أَبَاهُ أَتَاهُ رَاكِبٌ فَقَالَ قُتِلَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ فَقَالَ

«وَاللهِ مَا أَدْرِي أَيُّ الْمُصِيبَتَيْنِ أَعْظَمُ مَوْتُ أَبِي أَمْ قَتْلُ عُثْمَانَ؟»
