[Machine] "We went to Muawiyah, and we met Abu Huraira. He used to do this on the day of food, and he would invite this person and do this on the day of food, and he would invite this person. I said, 'O Abu Huraira, today is my day.' He came before the food arrived, so I said, 'O Abu Huraira, tell us something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until our food arrives.' He said, 'I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Victory and he said, "O Abu Huraira, call the Ansar for me."' So I called them and they came walking quickly. He said, 'Do you see the brawling of the people?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'When you meet them tomorrow, disperse them and then your meeting point will be Safa.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ assigned Khalid bin al-Walid to one of the passes, and Zubair bin al-Awam to the other pass, and Abu Ubaidah bin al-Jarrah to the valley bottom. When the people came, we met them. No one passed us except that we put them to sleep. We surrounded the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He climbed Safa, the Ansar circled around Safa, and Abu Sufyan came and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the green pastures of the Quraysh have been opened, there are no Quraysh after today.' He said, 'Whoever closes his door is safe, whoever throws down his weapon is safe, and whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan is safe.'"
وَفَدْنَا إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ ؓ وَفِينَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ فَكَانَ هَذَا يَصْنَعُ يَوْمَ الطَّعَامِ فَيَدْعُو هَذَا وَيَصْنَعُ هَذَا يَوْمَ الطَّعَامِ فَيَدْعُو هَذَا قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ الْيَوْمُ يَوْمِي فَجَاءَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحْضُرَ الطَّعَامُ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِّثْنَا بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى يُدْرَكَ طَعَامُنَا قَالَ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ادْعُ لِيَ الْأَنْصَارَ» فَدَعَوْتُهُمْ فَجَاءُوا يُهَرْوِلُونَ فَقَالَ «هَلْ تَرَوْنَ أَوْبَاشَ النَّاسِ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ غَدًا فَاحْصُدُوهُمْ حَصْدًا ثُمَّ مَوْعِدُكُمُ الصَّفَا» قَالَ وَاسْتَعْمَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ عَلَى إِحْدَى الْمُجَنِّبَتَيْنِ وَالزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ عَلَى الْمُجَنِّبَةِ الْأُخْرَى ؓ وَاسْتَعْمَلَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ عَلَى النَّادِفَةِ فِي بَطْنِ الْوَادِي فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْقَوْمُ لَقِينَاهُمْ فَمَا تَقَدَّمَ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَنَامُوهُ وَفُتِحَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَاءَ فَصَعِدَ الصَّفَا وَجَاءَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ فَأَطَافُوا بِالصَّفَا وَجَاءَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُبِيحَتْ خَضْرَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ لَا قُرَيْشَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ فَقَالَ «مَنْ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ وَمَنْ أَلْقَى السِّلَاحَ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ وَمَنْ دَخَلَ دَارَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ»
